Local guide

In dense Ottawa apartment buildings, the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band is crowded with neighbors' networks. Switch the TV or stick to 5 GHz, or run Ethernet, and most buffering disappears. If it doesn't suit you, the 7-day money-back guarantee applies, and because plans are prepaid there's nothing to cancel later.

Before you order

  • Check that the device clock is on Eastern time so the guide lines up.
  • Note how many screens will play at once, since that sets the connection count you need.
  • Keep the 7-day money-back guarantee in mind: test on every TV you plan to use during the first week.
  • Run a speed test on the TV or stick itself, in the evening, when your area is busiest.

Getting set up in Ottawa

Activation runs over WhatsApp: order, pay, and the credentials follow in around 60 seconds. Install a player on the TV you use most: TiviMate on a Fire TV or Android TV, IPTV Smarters Pro on Apple TV, or an app such as IBO Player on Samsung and LG TVs. Sign in, and the channel list loads in a minute or two.

Ottawa game nights

Ottawa Senators play in Ottawa, and each page lists the channels that carry their games. National broadcasts are in the lineup, and regional sports networks sit in their own group.

Speed and screens

  • One HD stream: about 10 Mbps
  • One 4K stream: about 25 Mbps
  • Two or three TVs: add each stream together, plus headroom for phones and laptops
  • Wi-Fi: 5 GHz near the TV, or Ethernet
  • How many devices play at the same moment is set when you order: one screen as standard, up to 3 on a single plan

Eastern time and your guide

Guide times follow your device, not the broadcaster. In Ottawa, that means Eastern time. When a game listed for 8 p.m. shows at the wrong hour, the device time zone is the first thing to check, and the player's EPG offset setting is the second.
