Local guide

Across Hamilton, cable and fiber are widely available and handle 4K easily. The usual weak spot is the last few feet: a router in the hallway and a TV behind two walls. Prepaid means no renewal surprises, and the 7-day money-back guarantee means the first week carries no risk.

Three things to check first

  • Check that the device clock is on Eastern time so the guide lines up.
  • Note how many screens will play at once, since that sets the connection count you need.
  • Keep the 7-day money-back guarantee in mind: test on every TV you plan to use during the first week.
  • Decide which TV gets the main player and whether a stick or the built-in apps make more sense.

Hamilton setup, start to finish

Activation runs over WhatsApp: order, pay, and the credentials follow in around 60 seconds. Install a player on the TV you use most: TiviMate on a Fire TV or Android TV, IPTV Smarters Pro on Apple TV, or an app such as IBO Player on Samsung and LG TVs. Sign in, and the channel list loads in a minute or two.

Local sports

Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Toronto FC are the Ontario teams with viewing guides, and each page lists the channels that carry their games. National broadcasts are in the lineup, and regional sports networks sit in their own group.

How much internet you need

  • One HD stream: about 10 Mbps
  • One 4K stream: about 25 Mbps
  • Two or three TVs: add each stream together, plus headroom for phones and laptops
  • Wi-Fi: 5 GHz near the TV, or Ethernet
  • A plan plays on one screen at a time as standard, and one order can cover up to 3 screens at once

Getting the TV guide right

Set the device to Eastern time and the guide lines up with what's on air in Hamilton. Catch-up helps with the rest: anything that aired earlier in another time zone, up to 7 days back on supported channels, can be played from the start.
