Local guide

Edison connections range from fiber to older DSL. Run a speed test on the TV itself before choosing 4K feeds; HD looks clean on anything over 10 Mbps. There's no contract and no card on file waiting to be charged again: plans are prepaid, with a 7-day refund window.

Before you order

  • Note how many screens will play at once, since that sets the connection count you need.
  • Check that the device clock is on Eastern time so the guide lines up.
  • Decide which TV gets the main player and whether a stick or the built-in apps make more sense.
  • Keep the 7-day money-back guarantee in mind: test on every TV you plan to use during the first week.

Edison setup, start to finish

Ordering happens on WhatsApp, and the login usually lands in the chat within about 60 seconds. Install a player on the TV you use most: TiviMate on a Fire TV or Android TV, IPTV Smarters Pro on Apple TV, or an app such as IBO Player on Samsung and LG TVs. Sign in, and the channel list loads in a minute or two.

Local sports

New York Jets, New York Giants, New Jersey Devils, New York Red Bulls, and Seton Hall Pirates are the New Jersey teams with viewing guides, and each page lists the channels that carry their games. National broadcasts are in the lineup, and regional sports networks sit in their own group.

Speed and screens

  • One HD stream: about 10 Mbps
  • One 4K stream: about 25 Mbps
  • Two or three TVs: add each stream together, plus headroom for phones and laptops
  • Wi-Fi: 5 GHz near the TV, or Ethernet
  • Up to 3 screens can play at once on one plan; on the 12-month length, two screens cost $200 in total instead of $125

Getting the TV guide right

Guide times follow your device, not the broadcaster. In Edison, that means Eastern time. When a game listed for 8 p.m. shows at the wrong hour, the device time zone is the first thing to check, and the player's EPG offset setting is the second.
