Local guide

In dense Rome apartment buildings, the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band is crowded with neighbors' networks. Switch the TV or stick to 5 GHz, or run Ethernet, and most buffering disappears. There's no contract and no card on file waiting to be charged again: plans are prepaid, with a 7-day refund window.

Rome setup, start to finish

Activation runs over WhatsApp: order, pay, and the credentials follow in around 60 seconds. Install a player on the TV you use most: TiviMate on a Fire TV or Android TV, IPTV Smarters Pro on Apple TV, or an app such as IBO Player on Samsung and LG TVs. Sign in, and the channel list loads in a minute or two.

Speed and screens

  • One HD stream: about 10 Mbps
  • One 4K stream: about 25 Mbps
  • Two or three TVs: add each stream together, plus headroom for phones and laptops
  • Wi-Fi: 5 GHz near the TV, or Ethernet
  • Up to 3 screens can play at once on one plan; on the 12-month length, two screens cost $200 in total instead of $125

Teams and channels for Rome fans

No team on our pro and major college lists is based in Spain, but national games, league channels and event feeds are all in the lineup. The channel list doesn't change by ZIP code, so out-of-state teams are as easy to follow as local ones.

Guide times in Rome

Rome runs on Eastern time. Your player shows guide times by the device clock, so set the TV or stick to the Eastern zone (most pick it up from the network automatically). If listings still look off, change the EPG offset in the player rather than the clock.

Three things to check first

  • Check that the device clock is on Eastern time so the guide lines up.
  • Note how many screens will play at once, since that sets the connection count you need.
  • Run a speed test on the TV or stick itself, in the evening, when your area is busiest.
  • Keep the 7-day money-back guarantee in mind: test on every TV you plan to use during the first week.
