What you'll see on screen
Expect a grid: categories down the left, channels in the middle, guide data on the right. Sky Sports News lives in the Live Sports category. Pin it to favorites and it appears on the first screen every time you open the app, ahead of the thousands of channels you'll never need to scroll past.
Sky Sports News viewing tips
- Missed the start? On channels with catch-up, the guide plays the broadcast from the beginning.
- When your player lists more than one version (HD, FHD, 4K), pick the one your connection can hold.
- Open the channel a few minutes before a big game rather than at the opening whistle.
- Keep the player app updated; guide and playback fixes arrive through updates.
Getting Sky Sports News on your TV
Three steps. Order on WhatsApp and wait about a minute for the credentials. Put a player on your device: Fire TV and Android TV owners usually go with TiviMate, iPhone and Apple TV owners with IPTV Smarters Pro or GSE Smart IPTV. Sign in, let the channel list load, and open Live Sports.
Troubleshooting Sky Sports News
- "Authorization failed": re-enter the login exactly as sent, including http:// and the port in the server URL.
- Spinning wheel, then nothing: switch to another channel and back. If others play and Sky Sports News doesn't, refresh the playlist from the player settings.
- Plays for a minute, then freezes: run a speed test on the TV itself. Under about 25 Mbps, choose the HD version of the channel instead of 4K.
More in Live Sports
Movistar LaLiga, Optus Sport 1, NBC Sports, and Fox Cricket sit in the same sports group, and all of them come with the same 8K TV Ultra plan. The group page lists the rest.
